He should receive a knighthood

  1. He makes me feel so slothful.

What an astounding amount of money he has raised; I hope it has all been paid by credit card or PayPal, not just pledged. Who will manage that money??

    1. Yvonne, my experience of ‘Just Giving’ is that the amount is not pledged, it’s taken immediately from the donor account.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching him walk around his garden, he puts the rest of us to shame!

  2. I saw him on our news a few days ago!
He made me smile and laugh! What a wonderful man! I bet he has stories to tell!
I wish him more years to live, love, and laugh!
I hope word gets back to him that people all over the world appreciate him and he has given us inspiration and hope during these darker days. 🙂
    (((HUGS))) 🙂

  3. Captain Tom will go down in history, I think – he exemplifies the spirit that will get us through this Corvid-19 crisis – a determination that something can be done and just never giving up.

  4. I was alerted to Captain Tom by a friend and we donated. We may not live in the UK but the NHS is as dear to us as it ever was when we lived there. Captain Tom did something absolutely inspiring and has captured the hearts and imaginations of so many. If he is not knighted it really will be a travesty. After all, so many celebrities get honours for charity work which far easier to achieve. Arise Sir Tom for that is how we already think of you. ?

  5. We’ve heard about this gallant gentleman in Australia too. It just an amazing story.
