Travel Challenge, Day 5

I was nominated by my friend Judy Dykstra-Brown to post one favorite travel picture a day for ten days without explanation, then to nominate someone else to participate. That’s 10 days, 10 travel pictures, and 10 nominations. I may not make it to the end of ten days, but for now I nominate Paol Soren. Please link to me so I know you have participated. If you are not interested, no problem. Nowhere in the rules does it say you can’t guess where the photo was taken and that I can’t agree if you are right. Derrick

  1. As the skies get greyer and the days are wetter, it’s lovely to see such a happy picture of warmer days, and children doing what they do best – exploring (and panicking their mother that they may be about to fall!)

  3. This is a wonderful photo! I hope you can tell the story behind this shot @ the comments section — so to not deviate from the rules of the challenge 😀

        1. I was going to say that with the “No Fishing” sign, it had to be on the cost or big lake. 🙂 Mousehole is an interesting name for a village. How did it get its name?

          1. ‘The origins of its modern name ‘Mousehole’ are unknown, although it is suggested that it was derived from the Cornish word Moeshayle, meaning “young woman’s brook”, while others maintain it as simply being a reference to the original tiny harbour, or to a nearby sea cave, which resembled a mouse hole.’ I got this from the internet – most commentators go for the cave, as does the Oxford Dictionary of English Place Names by A.D. Mills.

  4. OH! What a wonderful adventure..making beautiful memories!
What brave little climbers! 🙂 “Little Boy Blue” has reached the top…conquered…So glad you captured photos of his moment! 🙂
    HUGS!!! 🙂
PS…I always think about those who worked to create such amazing walls!

  5. Ah the sadness of the little girl who climbed all the way up there and was too short to see over the wall. Hopefully her mother boosted her up to see what was on the other side.
