Buying A Tablet

This afternoon Becky, Flo, and I visited Currys at Christchurch for Becky to buy her daughter a tablet.

Once the choice had been made and the two ladies needed to wait for the sale and paperwork to be completed I wandered out into the car park with my camera.

First I photographed the bright gorse bushes planted around the industrial estate, with the ubiquitous discarded face mask.

I then focussed on the posts and shadows in front of the store,

and the car body reflections.

We then drove on to Highcliffe Castle for refreshments. While Becky was

parking the car Flo and I looked down at the sea through trees casting long shadows.

Unfortunately the kitchen had closed and the establishment would only be open for another twenty minutes during which we could take drinks outside. Becky insisted on our staying inside because it was so cold outside. The only food available was a packet of crisps and the last piece of cake. I am not sure what the woman or her Basset Hound who followed my daughter and granddaughter into the tea rooms were able to obtain.

This evening we dined on second helpings of yesterday’s Red Chilli Takeaway with the same beverages.

  6. Not much in the way of food selections! The cars are nice and shiny which is nice. The home and the sea are beautiful!

  7. Oh, I hope you enjoyed wandering around Curry’s. I do enjoy going there. I’ve been a lot lately I have two gift cards to spend but cannot make up my mind which gadget I want!

    I love the sea images through the trees.
    What a pity about missing out on afternoon tea.

    Zooming in on Florence I can see she bears a strong resemblance to her grandfather.

  8. I would be looking at the reflections in cars and glass, too, but I don’t have your photography skills. I like how you caught yourself in the photo.
    I like all the tree and shadow photos, but I think my favorite is the bottom right trees and shadows with a hint of the sea behind.

  10. Always annoying when you have been salivating over a tasty afternoon tea and all get is dregs. Highcliffe looks stately, but what is that tea building? Something tacked on, or was it formerly a conservatory or something? It rather diminishes the aspect.

  12. As long as we have a camera, we will be able to entertain ourselves with things like reflections on a car. I like the the sea through trees, too!

  15. Reflections can turn very interesting at times. The clump of trees looks good. That is an eager dog being led into the somnolent restaurant that will hopefully provide a bite to the canine visitor too.

  18. I have enjoyed the shadows and reflections as well as peeping at the sea through the trees. Highcliffe castle looks an interesting building too.

  26. Masks and rubber gloves! What kind of people are too lazy to dispose properly of such things? Our neighborhood has been littered with them since this pandemic began.
