Red Chilli Takeaway

Her parents brought Flo back home after we had gone to bed last night.

Today I stayed indoors and published https://derrickjknight.com/2022/07/18/isabella-or-the-pot-of-basil/

This evening Jackie, Flo, and I dined on a Red Chilli takeaway meal which we hope may last three days.

First we neatly lay out the goodies in their containers;

then dive in at will until

our plates are empty enough for empty containers to be transported while others are moved to the fridge for tomorrow.

Jackie drank Hoegaarden, Flo drank water, and I drank more of the Fleurie.

  1. Great idea. I love making leftovers last three days! And they have recyclable containers not styrofoam! Stay cool!

  2. Sounds as if Flo has been a naughty girl and had to be snuck back in while the “olds” backs were turned 🙂 So when you wake up in the morning you think she has been innocently tucked up in bed all the time…or was I having a flashback to my rebellious teens?

    The repast looks sumptuous. My problem when food is laid out like that is I feel compelled to keep eating long past when I should stop. Another flashback from my “eat today for tomorrow we starve” days. And Flo is left-handed? Jumped out of the photo at me. Remember the days when teachers would tie that hand to force you to write right-handed?

    1. I think it is your youth you are remembering, Gwen. 🙂 It is Jackie who is left-handed. Jackie’s mother, also left-handed, had that treatment at school. I remember being forced to write with my left hand when I had injured my right. Thanks very much.

  3. We do exactly the same with our takeaway food, the leftovers are finished the following day and there are always leftovers.
