After The Booster

This morning Jackie and I drove to The Grove Pharmacy at Christchurch Hospital where we received our Covid booster jabs in a smooth and uneventful operation.

Thereafter I remained indoors, posted https://derrickjknight.com/2023/05/04/droll-tales-30/

and converted to Block editor, while changing their categories to Garden, the following posts:

This evening we all dined on Jackie’s tasty tandoori chicken with perfect pilau rice, with which she drank Hoegaarden and I finished the shiraz.

  1. I’m glad that you two keep your shots up to date, very smart, guys! I just had another booster, the third I think but this one had the update against the Omicron virus too. The top photo is wonderful with a friendly bug on the leaf. ❤️

  2. Glad to hear you two are vaccinated!
Good job on the posts – those tomatoes sure looked good. Have you ever had fried green tomatoes?

  3. Gorgeous photograph. We have day lilies (not even close to blooming) but none with ruffles or that yellow stripe down the center. The bug likes it too! Glad you guys are boosted. Hope you have no soreness or tiredness tomorrow.

  4. I’m holding out on block editor! My posts just look better with classic haha. We’ll see how long it takes before they force me to switch.

    1. I switched because they kept warning us that Classic would stop. I have found the galleries useful, though. Thanks very much, M.B.

  5. It’s interesting that I never hear a reference to Covid now except on the blogs. I honestly can’t remember the last time it came up in conversation with friends. I suppose if I were on social media, or worked in a different environment, I’d bump into it more. After the two shot series, I decided to forgo boosters as well as masks, and haven’t suffered for it. Of course, my last illness was the flu, two apartments back: so that would have been about 1998 or so. There are advantages to working solo, and outdoors–and I clearly have dipped my toe into the good part of the gene pool!

  6. Everybody should make sure that all their jabs are up to date. Covid can have terrible effects on certain people. many of whom were apparently young and fit.

  7. I received a reminder too but I’m hanging on for the one offered by my GP.
I just hope I don’t regret waiting a couple of weeks.

  8. YAY on getting the boosters! We just had our second booster the last week of April.
Sounds like a productive day with a pleasant’n’delicious meal!
    (((HUGS)) ❤️

  9. We have recently had our 5th Covid Vax. Norm has his 70th birthday Pneumonia vax this week and then awaits hi shingles vax. So…. many vaxes..
