For the first time ever Jackie and I have experienced a reaction to a Covid vaccine – the Moderna Spikevax. No doubt this will be short-lived, but today we have each experienced an ache in the spiked arm, swimming headaches, and joints more painful than usual.
Fortunately I am enjoying reading Arnold Bennet’s “The Old Wives’ Tale”, so I continued with that.
Raiding the freezer, Jackie dined on Mac and Cheese, while I repeated last night’s roast pork meal without the wine.

I’m sorry you’ve both had a reaction, Moderna has a reputation for after effects.
I usually have arm pain following flu and covid vaccines, and up until my most recent Moderna covid jab a few weeks ago, I’ve also had the aching joints. But this time after having the Moderna jab I had no joint pain, just an aching arm.
Hopefully, your pain will be gone in a day or two.
Have a large rum and hot blackcurrant with a couple of paracetamol before bed.

Sorry to hear that Derrick. I hope you both recover. So far I have had no problems with any of mine though I did experience a seriously painful arm after my shingles vaccination. I’m hoping my good luck with avoiding covid vaccine complications continues. 🙂

Wow, I’m sorry that you two have experienced a bad reaction the vaccine, that brand has caused people to have bad reactions over here too. My family has all taken the Pfizer vaccines and never had an issue at all. Covid is here to stay in my opinion, just another Flu virus which really sucks. Be well soon, guys! ????????

I’m so sorry you both had a reaction. We’ve had the Pfizer vaccine and didn’t have a reaction, but I suppose it varies each time. I hope you’re both feeling better tomorrow. Thank goodness for good books and food in the freezer!

I hope you and Jackie feel better soon. My two covid vaccines and one booster all had me in bed with flu-like symptoms for 36 to 48 hours. The booster made me not want to eat. All I had the day after the booster was a bowl of oatmeal with bananas. Since then, I cannot stand very ripe bananas.
