More Of ‘The Brontës’

I spent the whole afternoon of this dull, gloomy, overcast, colder, day reading ‘The Brontës’. So immense is this tightly packed academic tome that after 260 pages I am not much more than a quarter of the way through.

This evening we dined on Jackie’s deliciously warming chicken and vegetable stewp.

  1. Their lives fascinate me, especially given the brilliance of both sisters writing. I did get to visit their homestead when I was in England

  2. Sounds like the perfect way to spend such a day. My Sunday, Monday and Tuesday maybe spent in similar scenario. We will be below freezing for at least 96 hours.

    1. We won’t get below freezing but the days will be dull and gloomy. Thanks very much, Pat

  3. A great day to read and rest and eat warming chicken and veggie stewp!
Will you give us a review when you finish this long tome-y book? I hope so! 🙂 If I remember it has to be over 1,000 pages…and probably weighs a lot! HA!
In my lifetime, I’ve enjoyed so many of the Brontë sisters books and the books about them!
Stay warm and safe! (((HUGS))) ❤️❤️

  4. Sounds like the book I read about the Brontës – a lot to write about. Like why we have to faff about with Alt + 0235 for the ë, when the father’s real name was Brunty.. 🙂
