Becky, Mat, and Poppy stayed overnight, for the first time without Tess who was minding the shop. Everyone slept well.
This morning our son and daughter took our granddaughter for a trip out. They returned after lunch and we spent a pleasant afternoon before they returned to Upper Dicker.
I spent some time scanning another dozen colour slides from my Streets of London series, but had insufficient energy left to research the streets and write up the post.
I therefore offer a sample of what I hope to expand upon tomorrow.
This evening, my selection from our stock of supermarket prepared meals; Jackie’s was macaroni cheese. The Culinary Queen added runner beans to each.
Wonderful the sleep over went well, And the Market stall looks colourful.. A pity our market town’s market is in decline..

take as much time as you need – that is what I like about bloggers – well the ones I follow – they don’t always rush out a post and take a day or more if needed – and it shows in the outcomes – and I do not always see that on facebook – where people post and post and post and post… with little thought.

The vegetable stall is reminiscent of the earliest system of trade when cattle and grain were exchanged in lieu of spices, fruits and provisions. It presents a lovely picture that packs a story, or shall I say a ‘backstory’, as goes the popular phrase. I will wait for expansion of the theme. It seems stuff made by men are not easily accommodated by creations of the Maker. Wish you the best yet again!
