A Sample

Becky, Mat, and Poppy stayed overnight, for the first time without Tess who was minding the shop. Everyone slept well.

This morning our son and daughter took our granddaughter for a trip out. They returned after lunch and we spent a pleasant afternoon before they returned to Upper Dicker.

I spent some time scanning another dozen colour slides from my Streets of London series, but had insufficient energy left to research the streets and write up the post.

Baron Street N1 7.05

I therefore offer a sample of what I hope to expand upon tomorrow.

This evening, my selection from our stock of supermarket prepared meals; Jackie’s was macaroni cheese. The Culinary Queen added runner beans to each.

  2. nice picture and the flowers above are wonderful.
take as much time as you need – that is what I like about bloggers – well the ones I follow – they don’t always rush out a post and take a day or more if needed – and it shows in the outcomes – and I do not always see that on facebook – where people post and post and post and post… with little thought.
    so ponder away (IMO)

  3. Thanks Derrick. Nice to have family visit, but can tire you out and sometimes you just need a break, take your timeto post when you are well rested. Thanks for the photos.in the interim.
Just got back from the Keys. Had a great time. Have lots of fun videos and Pics to post that will be comming over the next few days as my time permits

  4. The vegetable stall is reminiscent of the earliest system of trade when cattle and grain were exchanged in lieu of spices, fruits and provisions. It presents a lovely picture that packs a story, or shall I say a โ€˜backstoryโ€™, as goes the popular phrase. I will wait for expansion of the theme. It seems stuff made by men are not easily accommodated by creations of the Maker. Wish you the best yet again!

  5. The flowers are beautiful and cheery! The produce at the market looks beautiful and yummy! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hurrah for good sleeping and good overnight “guests”! ๐Ÿ™‚

Continued best wishes for you, Derrick, for healing and recovery!

  6. Healing just can’t be rushed, as of course you know. Good that you’re acknowledging your current limitations. Gently does it, Derrick ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. My husband canโ€™t eat cooked cheese. Whenever I see the hallowed words โ€˜macaroni cheeseโ€™ I remember that this is my cross to bear!

  8. I always like your shots of London.

I am trying to contain my excitement at the thought of more photographs tomorrow.

So far I am containing it quite well…
