That is an interesting array of fancy dress Derrick, though I must ask what, or who, was Rob bewigged as? I spotted a Princess Leia and I think some cone heads. What a fun way to spend a warm summer afternoon!
Thanks a lot, Pauline. Jackie knew what Rob was, but I’ve forgotten. I’ll check with her in the morning.
Jackie says she has answered this question, but I don’t see it anywhere. Doc from Back to the Future
He was Doc from ‘Back to the Future’
Now it’s come to my reader, Pauline 🙂
Oh, of course he was! 🙂
Wonderful!!!!
Wow! Looks like a great party, Derrick. Loved the Spock!
Thanks very much, Jill. He was good, wasn’t he?
That looks super-fun in the sun. I love that Kinks track. Actually I just love The Kinks 🙂
Many thanks, Osyth. So pleased The Kinks were a hit once more
What a glorious sunny Sunday afternoon gathering, of happy people, and a broad smile on every face within everyone of your fun photographs, and Derrick I love your music choice, the Kinks have always been a fav’ of mine.
Many thanks, Ivor. Lovely comments, and I thought you’d like The Kinks
Oooh, the Kinks, Cone heads and Spock! What a party. The sausages looked good, too. Thanks for sharing the summer time with us!
Very many thanks, Lisa
I loved looking at the photos while the music played. Great party Knight.
Many thanks, Flower
Good song and beautiful party
Thanks very much, Drew
The Kinks- now that was a plus. And all the guests behaving as one would expect a collection of eccentric Poms at a BBQ. Great Party Derrick. Maintain your pride. No one will ever need to come up with a “Make Britain Great Again”. There will always be a Great Britain.
Great comments. Many thanks, Paol
That is a delicious photographic feast. I was relieved to find Sue in full focus later on. Those earrings have been captured well.
Many thanks, Uma. Danni had given Jackie her earrings earlier that day
Wonderful song and a finest kind of day.
It certainly was, Laurie. Glad you like the song. Thanks very much

OH! What a fun time! Those smiles are priceless! HA! I don’t know any of those people, but I know some of the characters! 😉
Glad you and Jackie got out for such fun! 🙂
I don’t know many of The Kinks songs…so I will have to google some and take a further listen! When they were popular, I was a very young and little girl.
HUGS!!! 🙂
Thanks a lot, Carolyn. I really liked them at the time
Wow!!!
Thanks very much, Lynn
It looks like a delightful way to spend a “Sunny Afternoon.” (Now the song’s going through my head.) 🙂
Thanks very much, Merril 🙂
Everyone seems to be having a blast! Nigel’s smile though is the most inviting!
Thanks very much, GP. He was quite a character. Had run a very profitable antiques stall in Portobello Road which he has passed on to son and daughter in law
What an amazing way to spend a sunny afternoon.
Looks great fun.

Looks like you went to a fab party!
We did. Thanks very much, Helen
Nice music choice for this blog post, Derrick! It does look like there was plenty of food there and no dinner was necessary. 🙂
🙂 Thanks very much, Lavinia
What happy, crazy fun! Is this a yearly tradition or a one time event? A great idea and thank you for sharing the wonderful portraits.
It’s a yearly tradition, Cynthia. Thanks very much
