Garden Delights

This morning I converted the following posts to Block from Classic edit:

I gave The Camperdown Elm and Ache header pictures, and changed the category of the last two to Garden.

Later I carried out a little dead heading and weeding, and after lunch focussed on the delights I had noticed on my way round. These images all show titles in the gallery

This evening we all dined on tender roast lamb; crisp Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes; crunchy carrots; firm cauliflower, broccoli, and Brussels sprouts; meaty gravy; mint sauce and redcurrant jelly, with which Jackie drank Hoegaarden and I finished the shiraz.

    1. Thank you very much, Dolly. There will be far more roses blooming in a few days

    1. Thanks very much, Pat. I wondered if anyone would think that was me. In fact it was Roy who lived there

  1. Gorgeous garden photos! Delights, indeed!
Love the owl guarding the chair.
Love the tulip. Nature looks beautiful in all of it’s life-stages.
In the The Camperdown Elm header photo…I wonder if the donkey talked with his mouth full and what he said. Ha!
    (((HUGS))) ❤️

  2. The garden is looking just lovely, Derrick.
My goodness how busy you are converting Classic to Block.

I am still struggling to fid the perfect new themes for my sites. But if experience is anything to go by I will will end up going back and choosing the first to pique my interest!

  3. Like Sue, your hard work every day converting all your posts fills me with awe. Your garden is full of the most lovely plants and flowers!

  4. I’ll have to choose the Philadelphus as my favourite Derrick … my Philadelphia cousins are now travelling back home …

    1. A happy coincidence that I featured it on this day. Thanks very much, Ivor

  5. The garden is looking splendid. I admire many of your flowers, but I envy you the lilacs. If I could choose just one flower to add to our world here, that would be it. I miss them dearly.

  6. I’m not sure which made my mouth water most, your luscious dinner description or those gorgeous photos of your burgeoning garden! Both were delightful!

  7. Beautiful garden pictures, Derrick, and i am glad you retrieved The Camperdown Elm post with the pics of the donkeys.
