A Visit From Across The Pond

This afternoon Crystal and Margaret, staying in Lymington, visited before we all repaired to Rokali’s for our evening meal. We enjoyed exhilarating conversation followed by a brief tour of the garden with cameras.

Crystal spent time making pictures, while

Margaret enjoyed looking at the flowers which she discussed with Jackie.

We then introduced our friends to the delights of Rokali’s where the service and quality of the cooking was of the usual exemplary nature. My choice was duck naga; Jackie’s paneer shashlik; I don’t remember the others’ picks, but they both met with approval. We all began drinking Kingfisher; Crystal and Margaret moved on to Sauvignon Blanc. We shared rices and peshwari naan.

  1. Derrick, look how efficiently you post! Margaret and I had the most excellent time with you both. Looking forward to exploring New Forest then visiting you again before we leave. 💜

  2. Lovely photos, and what a great thing to have visits from friends plus a reliable local Indian restaurant! I’m glad you enjoyed. Those lilacs are quite something–ours are only starting, but it’s so nice to see them really thriving.

  3. Hi John! It’s a fellow blogger here from the US! My travel buddy and I stopped to see Derrick and Jackie. We will also meet Andrew, if you know his blog at Have Bag Will Travel.

    1. Thank you very much, Sheree. Unfortunately we are past managing that now
