This afternoon I began reading Juliet Barker’s ‘The Brontës. Given the size of this I may be some time over it.
The grand-family having begun their journey home this morning, the rest of us dined on turkey and vegetable stewp and bread.
I hope it was a splendid visit, enjoyed by all, and not too tiring for the great grands. Dinner sounds delicious.

Thanks very much, Pat. We were given much assistance
Splendid photos worth retaining. I hope the storms are gone now, and I wish the grandfamily safe travels.
Thanks very much, Merril
I admire your capacity for organising your digital life. Mines lies in a great heap and may never be anything other than a mess.
I have the same digital great heap, alas.
Thanks very much, Tootlepedal
Those are beautiful keepers, Derrick.
I feel a tenuous link to the Bronte sisters after research revealed that my grt-grt grandfather was born in Allerton and baptised in Thornton in 1827. My fertile imagination would like to have them crossing paths, but I think the Brontes had moved on to Haworth by then. No doubt your book will answer that question.
Thanks very much, Gwen. I’ll le you know
I love the first photo.
Thank you very much, Liz

You’re welcome, Derrick.
All great pictures and worth retaining. I’m sure it seems very quiet.
It really does, Robbie. Thanks very much
Grand-family! As you can see, many of us liked this name. I especially like the home featured in Sir Garfield Sobers, and also your comments about whether it was passengers or the car growling. 🙂
Thank you so much, Crystal
I hope the family had a safe journey home.
We are gearing up for the heavy snow, which is due to fall tonight and tomorrow, so I’m glad they set off northwards before the snow begins to fall.
They arrived safely, Sue. Thank you very much
Beautiful!
Thank you very much, Riba
I am glad I am not the only one who enjoys Philippa Gregory’s novels. It feels good to have the imprimatur of a distinguished Englishman.
Thank you so much, Dolly
You are very welcome, Derrick.
