Cheers, Bob

Richard and Ross of Kitchen Makers began the day by finishing the installation of the new sitting room cupboard. The open door photograph is Jackie’s.

We emptied the rather ugly and ill-fitting wardrobe in our bedroom

in order for the men to fit one of their own.

Later, I posted

This evening we dined on Jackie’s succulent sausages in red wine; creamy mashed potatoes; tender green beans; and crunchy carrots, cauliflower, and broccoli; with which I drank Bold Vine Zinfandel 2019 and the Culinary Queen drank Blue Moon originally purchased for Bob.

Cheers, Bob.

  1. The new cupboard looks great Derrick … and aa appropriate “Blue Moon” to celebrate !! a poem for Jackie …
    “Blue Sky Moon”
    I do wonder why
    In our blue daylight sky
    You are hoverering there
    Giving us your half stare
    From your comfy afternoon chair
And not your usual midnight glare
You, our beaming day time Moon
    With your cultured silver spoon
Are you able to save us soon?
    From our poisoned gloom
You, being so open and brave
Without the cover of your shadowed wave
Have you a hidden power source?
And the cunning of a Trojan Horse

  2. Looks wonderful! We could all use a cupboard like that one! 🙂
Cheers, Jackie! And Bob! Ha! 🙂 And Richard and Ross! Ha! 🙂 And to Derrick, too, for his photos! 🙂 A whole ‘lot of cheerin’ goin’ on! 😉 😀
    (((HUGS))) 🙂
“Blue Moon” always reminds me of a song! (by The Marcels)

  3. That cupboard looks great! I share Liz’s cupboard envy. ?
I’m sure Bob heard that “cheers.” My husband has had that Blue Moon beer, and he likes it. He said it’s served here with an orange slice on the glass.

  4. Blue Moon’s one of my favorites. I see they have their Belgian White on offer these days: nice. In a nice bit of serendipity, I drank my first Blue Moon at the Blue Moon Saloon in Lafayette, Louisiana, while listening to music like this.

  5. Those gents have done a great job on the new cupboard.
Thank you for the Blue Moon link, such a long time since I heard that song.

Sorry to hear the internet is still misbehaving, how frustrating.

  6. Cheers back atcha, Derrick & Jackie. Thanks for the shout out!! We LOVE that photo of dear Jackie… looking happy, indeed! Your wardrobe project reminds me of what I did about a year ago to begin the clothes purging project. I turned all my hangers so they were facing backward. Then when I wear something, I turn the hanger facing the tight way. At the end of the year, anything that has a backward hanger goes to the Nearly New Shop.
