Tower Blocks

I am now posting the second half of the pages of this book the first of which was published yesterday as https://derrickjknight.com/2022/07/09/seventies-city-celebrations/

Here are the pages written by Marian Lines and illustrated by Charles Keeping. As before these images may be enlarged in the gallery.

These will speak for themselves, and need no further comment from me.

I am an octogenarian enjoying rambling physically and photographing what I see, and rambling in my head as memories are triggered. I also ramble through a lifetime's photographs. In these later years much rambling is done in a car.

  1. Thanks for sharing more of this amazing book…poems and illustrations are fun and unique!
“Street Bands” is wonderful! I can hear the music!
I googled Marian Lines and learned more about her. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. It’s a delightful keepsake of the period. I noticed a page for a West Indian street band, but, without the names of the band’s members, I’m unable to learn more about the band.
