More Work On Posts

After lunch, before I settled down to watch the ITV transmission of the France v Italy Six Nations rugby match, Jackie cut my hair.

When the game had finished I stepped outside to chase a dying sunset down the back drive

and into the Royal Oak car park.

In between times, following SueW’s guidance, I recovered the pictures for the following posts:

This evening we all dined on Jackie’s pasta Bolognese with piquant cauliflower cheese on the side. She drank more of the Grüner Veltliner and I finished the Shiraz.

  1. I have been cutting my husband’s hair for 54 years – we will have been married for fifty years later this year. I often remind him how much he has saved as a result 🙂

    1. Thanks very much, Anne. Jackie cut mine in the 60s when we were first married. We waited 50 years for her to take it up again.

  2. More recovered images, great job! There is a city in my Michigan home state called Royal Oak. Gee, are we the same people or what? 🇬🇧🇺🇸❤️

  3. YAY for a haircut! YAY for that spectacular sunset! YAY for your continued hard work! 🙂
For quite a few years now I have been cutting my hubby’s hair…sometimes needs a bit shaving on the neck, too. 😉 Once in awhile, he tosses me a $20.00 bill. ‘Tis a joke between us. 😀
    (((HUGS))) 🙂 ❤️❤️ 🙂

  4. You had a pleasant mixture of a day, just how our days should be.
I managed to capture a bright red sunset and an opportunistic shot of the tail end of a plane on take off.

    1. And to you both, Lavinia. Thanks very much. The sunset was something new for my loyal followers 🙂

  5. I think my husband was overjoyed when he was able to go to get his haircut after covid restrictions were lifted. I tried my best with a tool set and YouTube videos, but I definitely did not miss my calling as a beautician!
