It has recently been brought to my attention that newer followers may need some clarification about my family tree. I therefore converted to Block Edit and slightly amended the following post:
Before I needed a break from the recovery process I gave the same treatment to
With howling gales continuing throughout the day I then posted https://derrickjknight.com/2023/04/12/droll-tales-21/
This evening we dined on tempura prawns and Jackie’s colourful savoury rice with which she drank Hoegaarden and I started on another bottle of the Second Fleet Coonawarra 2021.
I understand that you were suffering from Storm Noa. Did you need to contemplate building an ark at any point?
When we had to put the rubbish bags out last night. Thanks a lot, Tootlepedal
The refresher was helpful, though I’ve given up trying to keep track. ๐
I hope the storm isn’t too bad.
Thanks very much, Merril ๐
Are howling winds, typical Spring weather for you? Dinner sounds great.
We get these all the year round where we are, Pat. Thank you very much
Hope your winds stop howling.
Thanks a lot, Andy
You’re welcome. I am tired of wind myself. We have had one calm day in nine days.
You weren’t kidding when you mentioned you have a complicated family tree ๐ I am sure most are though some facts are more hidden in some. Spring and wind go together.
Thanks very much, Suzanne
We’re having some seriously windy weather here as well.
Thank you very much, Liz
You’re welcome, Derrick.
Ooh, howling winds! Are they howling like wolves and coyotes?
Hope the winds settle down soon.
(((HUGS)))
Like big bad wolves. Thanks very much, Carolyn X
I hope your windy weather has calmed down a little by now! How is your poor garden?Has any blossom survived? I hope so xx
We will have a look later, Clare. Thank you very much
I hope your garden is okay after the storm blows over.
We will have to see, Jill. Thank you very much
With howling gales continuing throughout the day, I can imagine being inside feeling cozy. Still, I like the header photo.
Thank you so much, JoAnna
Hope the howling winds didn’t do too much damage. I read your family history to refresh my memory. It occurred to me that I have been following you for at least six years. Tempus fugit!
Yes, it has been a good long friendship, Laurie. There will be some damage – we will look around today. Thanks very much
Will be waiting to read your post to see how much damage there was.
Thank you for a refresher on your family’s tree. I find this always very interesting,
Thank you very much, Aletta
Yes, prawns and savoury rice sounds very nice.
Thanks a lot, John
I’ve lost count of the times I’ve read your family tree, always fascinating to remind myself. I was so pleased that it remained intact after the transfer.

While you were still on WordPress itself, and using the theme before last, I believe you had your family tree and information included in an About Page. I can’t help wondering if James could create another. It wouldn’t take him more than a few minutes to set up a page where you could add/copy/paste information.
I think your coastal gales have been worse than our top of the hillside gales.
Thanks very much, Sue. I know you saved the page recently for fear of it getting lost. I haven’t been able to post anything yet today.
Your family tree is very interesting, Derrick. I think many family trees are complicated. Mine is very complex.
Thank you very much, Eugi
Most welcome, Derrick.
The family tree was interesting to go through again, and I have bookmarked it for reference for future posts.
I hope your weather settles down, Derrick.
It should be good next week, Lavinia. Thank you very much
UK weather has been dreadful of late. Both my sisters have been bitterly complaining: the one canโt play golf and the other canโt garden.
๐ Thanks very much, Sheree
