Not Going Out

While we still have our dying Weeping Birch and because of my cold I am not going out I photographed a few

garden views from above this morning, and dozed much of the afternoon occasionally woken by Ellie talking to me and offering me such as pictures of the moon, or the TV controls.

Dinner this evening consisted of Jackie’s wholesome cottage pie, crunchy carrots, and tender runner beans. I ate my very small portion from a tray in the sitting room because I am at a very sneezy stage.

  1. I’m so sorry you are feeling poorly, Derrick. I will keep you in prayer, hoping you feel good as new very soon. Meantime, I’m glad you have Ellie to entertain you and Jackie to be the perfect caregiver. God bless you!

  2. I hope you feel much better very soon, Sneezy! ???? You managed some very nice photos from indoors, the view is lovely!

  3. Bless you! (Get it, Sneezy?!? Ha!)
Aw, it sounds like Nurse Ellie and Chef Jackie are keeping you tended to and well fed!
Won’t be long and you will feel like being out and about again. Bestest wishes for quick and complete healing!
Speaking of sneezy…one time we were in a small shop and my husband sneezed (he sneezes quite loudly) and an older gentleman in the store said, “Bless you.” My hubby sneezed a second time and the older gentleman politely said, again, “Bless you.” When my hubby sneezed a third time, the older gentleman said, “Oh, my!” and we all laughed. 🙂
    (((HUGS)) ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

    1. “Oh, my!” is one of Dillon’s expressions passed on to Ellie. Thank you very much, Carolyn XX

  4. Lovely images of the garden.

How are you feeling? Have you done a Covid test?
I sometimes forget that other people are not as paranoid as me when they’ve been in close contact with strangers and probably don’t keep a box of tests in the bottom of the wardrobe, just in case they sneeze more than is normal for a cold!
Get plenty of rest, Derrick, and get well soon. 🙂

    1. Thanks very much, Sue. I would have had a booster on Saturday if I hadn’t got the cold.

  5. Hope the cold symptoms are gone soon. At least you do not have the cough that I suffer when I get the cold and sneezy bug. THAT”S a pain to have.!
    Beautiful view from the window.

  6. I like those views from the upper window, Derrick. Glad you are getting rest. Little Ellie sounds very helpful and encouraging. 🙂

    Dinner sounds delicious!
