After a last look round the garden
Today we are off to New Hall Hospital to exchange one of my knee joints for one that works and will be free of pain.
Becky will arrive soon to accompany us.
Good luck Derrick!
I’ll drink to that (I trust coffee counts!). I hope everything goes to plan.
I’ll be thinking of you today, Derrick. Wishing you the best with the surgery.
All the best Derrick, may the surgeon gods be with…….
Can’t wait to see the after pic! xoxo
Best of luck, Derrick,
Dear Derrick, I send love and hope for a swift recovery.
Remember the sensations of walking round the garden now, to be compared with after, and recovered from the op. Trust it will be a vast improvement!
Just call you Mother Brown!
Good luck, Derrick! Sending you warm wishes
Best of luck, Derrick.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
Here’s to a pain-free rehab, Derrick! >-I
nice legs, but will be much better when they are pain free as I well know since I’ve been thru that operation twice. Hope for quick recovery Derrick !
Hope the surgery goes well and you have a quick recovery.
Thinking of you! By the time you read this you’ll be on the road to recovery. : )
I had my first done at 48, my second at 54. It’s been a blessing. Good luck. Do all you therapy afterward.
Good luck! Warmest wishes.
Best, best, best!!!!!!
Warmest wishes for a good outcome and a speedy journey towards a mighty ‘knees up’ celebration 🙂
The prognosis for knee operation is good, but, as they have no doubt told you, recovery time is a bit longer than for other types of joint operations. Do take care! Wish you all the best, Derrick@
Fingers crossed for a quick recovery and return to normal knees.
Will be thinking of you! Recover quickly! We need you in the blogosphere!
We will be thinking of you today! Hope all goes smoothly and you recover quickly. All the cats here send their best, too! 🙂
All the best with your surgery <3
Hey Derrick – all the very best; we’ll be thinking of you and expecting photos of you leaping about again shortly!
…..and do what the
Physio tells you! See you soon. Both send all our best. xxxxxxxx
Best wishes! xx
Ouch – take it easy. Singing good thoughts and lots of love, Mx
ps Note my new WordPress address. I still can’t ‘like’.
All good wishes for a speedy recovery.

Lovely legs Derrick!
Bestest wishes! For surgery and recovery!
I don’t see how they can make your knees any purdier, but we’ll see! 😉 HA! Just teasin’ you! 😀
HUGS!!! 🙂
Your knees are so innocent looking. Not for
much longer.
All the best Derrick. You’ll soon be bustling around your garden, I’m sure.
If I had legs like that I’d ask the doc to amputate.
🙂 🙂 🙂
And there I was, trying to behave and be suitably sympathetic.
I thought I was being, typical of me! I’m always getting it wrong 😈
🙂 I think you got it right. I’m weak-willed and was being carried away by all the female sympathy he was getting.
I wasn’t going to say that 🙂
Sometimes I need an injection of moral fibre.
I’ve never given that stuff a thought. Wouldn’t know what it was, and what to do with it if I had it 🙂
🙂
and anyway he was getting too much of that nonsense; he’s prone to a touch of hypochondria at any show of weakness on our part, so I’m really only trying to do what’s best to help him come through this trying time 👿
Yes, I see your point. He’s had several things done recently and now you mention it I’m startting to see a trend…
Are you ganging up on me?
That would appear to be the case, but as you have progressed from cleaning your ears to a knee replacement quite quickly I agree with Lord B that we have to stop the rot!
🙂
🙂
🙂
So answering posts from the latest down, I now see that your knee replacement is a new addition to skeletal support system, Long Live The Knee Derrick.
Thanks a lot, Ian
I always find the waiting to be the hardest part of an opweration – hope this is the case here too and it all goes smoothly from here.
Me, too, Quercus. Many thanks
Glad it seems to be going well.
Speedy recovery.
Thanks very much, Miriam. There will be a gap in my reading of others’ work. I’ll restart when I’m recovered
Exciting news that you will be better able to walk, likely pain-free, in time!
It is, Cynthia. Many thanks
