This morning I cut the grass.

This afternoon I watched a thrilling televised Wimbledon Ladies Final.

Angelique Kerber was a worthy loser who was in the end unable to counteract the Serena Williams serve.

Much had been said about the possibility of Serena’s equalling Steffi Graf’s open era record of 22 Grand Slam wins today.

She did.

This evening we dined on Jackie’s excellent chicken jalfrezi, boiled rice, and parathas. Neither of us drank anything.

  1. A great match indeed and if I could be in the crowd I possibly would be for Serena but definitely would be for tomorrow’s match with our proud Canadian Milos Raonic who will face Andy Murray. Milos is the first Canadian man to EVER make to any major final, let alone Wimbledon!

    1. I’m sorry about the spoiler, Timi. I just thought everyone would know by the time I posted. It was still an excellent match. Both a bit under the weather and had been drinking a lot of water

  2. Serena rocks! (So do Simone Biles and Laurie Hernandez, American gymnasts I’m rooting for in the Olympics.) Too bad about Federer, huh?

    1. Not sure why my cell phone did this. Just correcting poor sounding grammar. My word “doing” turned into found.
      Serena gave an outstanding performance.
I was happy about Serena doing an outstanding performance! Sorry but there isn’t a way to edit on my end. Hope you and Jackie feel better soon. 🙂

      1. Thanks, Robin. That not being able to edit is a nuisance, and they do have a habit of changing your words without alerting you. We are getting there.
